Have you ever been so mad at the place you work or who you work for that you would love to take advantage of them if the opportunity presented itself. But by the time the opportunity presented itself you returned to normal thinking. This is one of the moments, but when the opportunity presented itself we took full advantage of it.
We had to deal with 2 horrible supervisors for almost 6 months now and couldn't afford to quit.
What ended up happening is we were really pissed at the most recent ass chewing. We really didn't do anything wrong this time either. Which is funny the times we do, do things wrong we don't get caught or in trouble. But when people make things up or lie then we get it handed to us.
Anyways we were really hungry to. And there was these vending machines down this hall that no one goes down. Which also has plenty of doors around it and roof access hallways too. We got the bright idea that if we lay a few phones books down we then can lean the snack machine down on it and move behind it and shake out all the snacks. Which worked like a charm. Definitely a two man operation though. We had another guard working there though this time who was a cousin of one of the supervisors to watch out for now.
So all the snacks fell to the bottom tray. Problem now is that it jammed the tray so it could not open. And there was so much weight on it that we could barely manage to put our fingers in it. But with alittle time we finally got enough out to be able to open it and get everything out. To a long time actually. We put the snacks in my duffle bag and I walked it to my car. Right by the cameras and guard. Then came the tricky one.
There was a soda machine that if you shake it the sodas will fall down as well. We went to this machine. Which was much more visible location. But no one was there at the time because of course I was still working nights. We got them all out. Again I would advise a two man operation for this. But we had the same problem with them getting jammed. More of a problem actually because the bottles were heavier and wouldn't bend since they were under pressure.
After some time we were able to get them out, but we didn't have a place to put them. My buddy ended up going out to his truck and getting his army dufflebag which ended up being just enough to fit all of the drinks in there. But now we had two more problems.
How do we get them out of the building without anyone seeing them. And it was so heavy we both needed to hold it to be able to move it. Lady Luck was on our side once again. My coworker went back out to his car and had a bunch of rope lying around. So we hatched a plan.
We need to get the duffle bag to the roof of the two story building that we were working at, at the time. Tie up the bag VERY carefully and repel it off of the roof onto the ground where the cameras couldn't see it. It took us awhile to get the heavy bag up the stairs, but we were able to. Tying it up seemed to be a problem just because the weight distribution always moved around. Time was starting to run out though because our relief would be arriving soon. So we started to lower the bag. It was being lowered in fron of windows where people were working, but they never looked outside since it was so dark. My coworker then went to go downstairs to catch the bad and hide it till we could move it.
We got it down to the ground without a hitch thankfully. I threw the rope down and went outside to help my coworker. We hauled it over to the back of his truck and hide it well. About the time the cousin of the supervisor walks up on us and asks us what we are doing. We told him we just finished a smoke even though I don't smoke and he was dipping. But he is not exactly the brightest crayon in the box so he just kept on his patrol.
All in all it went off without a hitch and we got away with another one. We ended up having food for about 6 months and drinks for about the same. I don't remember the count on the food, but we had about 60 or 70 sodas that we split up. Not a bad night at all. But like I said stealing is never the answer, but sometimes you just have to stick it to an A**.

And you do what for a living? Geez! That sounds like a lot of trouble for a Mountain Dew and a bag of stale chips...
